HOME GARDEN
In homes we waste valuable land,water,time and energy without utilising. Each home should have a home garden in the free space available by planting few selected vegetables,yams,plantain,fruit trees,leafy vegetables(keerai,wallarai etc) according to the limited space available. Even the kids can get involved after school in this useful venture. Nowadays if finding animal waste(saani,pulukkai) is difficult we can collect kitchen waste,dry leafs etc and prepare a "compost pit" in each home to use as fertiliser. Water from kitchen snk and bath could be used,if not enough well water too could be used.
Harvested/collected rainwater too is ok. Each home need not be self sufficient but to a certain extent people can be happy.
